We are really excited to be hosting this Game Competition with BootHK - one of Hong Kong's first entrepreneur communities.
This all started at StartupSaturday, 2 months ago, when we got in touch with one of BootHK's co-founders, Johnathan Buford. We are very impressed and inspired by BootHK's actions in creating a social place for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to work and meet up. We believe in Innovation and support Hong Kong people's creative. To put our money where our mouth is, we decide to work with BootHK and start a Facebook Game Competition that is open to ALL creative and innovative minds in Hong Kong. This competition is not just about building a game but also to help kick start the movement in Entrepreneur Innovation.
Here's a brief summary of our project:
- Why are we (MaBelle and BootHK) doing this?
1. Reason: Encourage HK Entrepreneurs to innovate through a 'Real' game development which will be marketed and distributed by MaBelle in the Hong Kong market.
2. Reward: We've got 1 Champion and 10 Winners. The Champion will be awarded 100,000HKD and the 10 Winners will each be awarded 40,000HKD. The Champion and the winners may also win a Game Development Contract to complete the game.
3. Relevance: Individuals/Entrepreneurs/Companies - If you got ideas and the skills to build something that will blow us away - we will make sure the rest of Hong Kong knows about it! Bring it on!
4. Responsibilities (What you need to bring to the table): Submit a Proposal for approval and get us your Demo before Dec 10, 2010. That's it.
