MaBelle Facebook Jewelry Store Game Competition Information



Objectives:    1. Support Hong Kong entrepreneurs by working with them in developing an innovative Facebook Virtual Jewelry Store Game to engage MaBelle’s current and future customers.

2. Increase the users’ understanding of jewelry and familarize them with the MaBelle brand

Rules & Regulations:       

  1. Participants proposals MUST be approved before qualifying for the competition. (MaBelle reserves the right to ask the participant to present and explain details of the submitted proposal before final approval.)
  2. The qualified participants must submit a playable Facebook Game Demo before the deadline.
  3. All qualified participants will be located in the Hong Kong region, and should be able to meet at the MaBelle office in Hong Kong.
  4. The playable Facebook Game Demo must come with a quotation on the development of complete game.
  5. Traditional Chinese should be used as the main language of the game.
  6. The source files of the prize winning game demos will be owned by MaBelle.


Contest Deliverables:
  1. Game Proposal:
    1. This must be approved prior to creating the demo.
  2. Playable Demo:
    1. Traditional Chinese language required, multi-lingual is OK.
    2. Must demonstrate the key game mechanics.
    3. Must demonstrate the key game graphics.
    4. Must demonstrate how the game supports improving the user’s understanding of jewelry.
    5. Must demonstrate how the game helps to build brand recognition and image.


Submission Deadline: On or before 10 December 2010
Awards:    Champion – HK$100,000 (1 Winner)
        Merit         – HK$40,000 (10 Winners)

(Note: If there are not enough winners, the number of awards will be adjusted without prior notice)
Proposal:    The proposal must include the following:
  1. The portfolio of the participant
  2. Storyboard
  3. Attractive elements of the game
  4. Plan for how to keep customer engaged
  5. Marketing Plan
  6. Suggestions for potential revenue streams.
  7. Compare and analyse the proposed game with other famous Facebook games such as Restaurant City, Happy Farm etc.
